we heart day trips

I'm back in Guildford and so reunited with my wires and cameras and such!
YAY.

So last weekend, Bella and I decided to have a (slightly hungover) adventure, exploring the natural countryside beauty that surrounds us, which, unfortunately we don't appreciate nearly enough. To the train station!
A half an hour journey through fields led us to Axminster, where a bus with a lovely driver awaited, ready for us to cross the border between Devon and Dorset. We finally reached our destination of Lyme Regis, a lovely little town in the south west of Dorset. Pebbled beaches and chocolate box cottages made this place awesome, not to mention the iddy biddy independent shops and the amazing chip shop.

We found this little bookshop which was AMAZING. It was crammed with thousands of books, and downstairs was this tiny room (that I could only just stand up straight in) filled with old magazines. The entire back wall is old copies of National Geographic.

The race back to the train station with a group of American tourists topped the day off. I like day trips.
