After a weekend of work, watching rugby and having a severe allergic reaction to George the cat, this morning when I faced my wardrobe for college I was half awake. And half awake starts to the day mean going for a ready-made security outfit. Oui, a peter pan collared spotty dress, black tights, moccasins and a jumper with a horse on. I like this jumper. I will always remember the time that I went to my ex's house and his mother asked me if I really liked horses...

So Topshop today with one of my friends, they have some pretty nice stuff in there. But on the other hand it's just like the mother ship of Hipsters (as well as Urban Outfitters and Vintage stores). We spotted a girl in denim hotpants, a lace leotard, cape style sheer shirt and a pocket watch necklace. Genius...ahem. I mean, to a certain extent I guess Hipsters are kinda cool, despite them all looking like each other, I like the ones who have the whole geek thing going on but are genuine geeks. Take my friend Lauren, for example. Moderate hipster, wears odd coloured socks on purpose and is obsessed with her mac book, but she is justified in all of this because she has a genuine love for comic books, she's going to Oxford university in September (bloody intelligent girl) and works at Apple. See, justified.

Oh I don't know. It just irks me when you see girls who just wear what shops tell them to rather than having style...

p.s. Just because I'm wearing a horse jumper I am not doing it 'ironically' and am not a hipster, I bought it before Devon knew of such a social tribe!
