I'm afraid that this Monday is lacking a doodle! However, I will try and do one some time this week if I can fit it in.
I don't know how the past two weeks have been so mentally packed with reading, writing, drinking and attempting to sleep properly (it's not going too well). But I have had one of the best weekends in a while! Friday evening I headed over to Oxford to visit one of my best friends, Lauren, where I discovered that the accommodation in Oxford University is a lot nicer than that of mine (not so surprised). I also re-discovered how much of a bad influence she is on me when we hit the town, it resulted in black sambuca shots at a Drum and Bass night followed by a trip to Chicken Cottage (amaze) and eventually rolling in at 4am. Beautiful. Then, on Saturday evening when I returned to Guildford, I had the joys of other best friend, Isabella, coming to visit me. This obviously called for a pub trip, shopping, Starbucks, more pub, Amelie and M&S dine in for £10. Those girls make me miss home, college and the summer. Sigh.
On a slightly less positive note, this cold weather has totally wrecked my skin! Whilst I'm not the most skin-routine person (Isabella told me off for just using a face wipe, oops) I've never been this badly affected. Maybe it's skin karma? I think so. Luckily Isabella has promised me a skin routine for Christmas, and in return I'm giving her a manicure and a wavy hair tutorial. Best home made presents ever?
Now I shall head off to do some MORE reading and try to stay awake
