I WANT DIP DYE

Yes, I am aware that this particular hair trend has been around for quite a while, but I like to mull things over and take my time. Just to make sure, ya know.
So I've made my decision. Due to not having easy, regular access to my hair dresser once I move, I feel the need to get closer to my natural hair colour in order to avoid the horrors of awful roots. The plan is to have my hair a la Drew Barrymore...

I really want pink tips, but I figured that with blonde tips I can always use semi-permanent pink colour on top if I still have the urge for colour. 

Thoughts?
